​Happy Monday! I pray that your day is off to a great start. Today, I know you want to be a boss chick. I know you want to be the next great somebody. But, remember your first ministry is at home. What do you gain from being known in the world and not at home? Your husband loves your conversation. Your kids love your presence. Don’t become so busy gaining recognition from people who may not be with you until the end. Maximize time to laugh with the ones you love. Make time to create memories with the ones you love. Make time to converse with the ones you love. Life is filled with swift transitions. Don’t apologize later for things you can work on now. Don’t succeed in the world and fail at home. Sis, your family needs you. Yes, God has called you to do great and mighty things. But God never intended for you to counsel more outside of the home than inside of the home; for you to pray more outside the home than inside the home; for you to encourage more outside the home than inside the home. Happy Monday! As you begin your week, I want to reassure you of some things. You are enough just the way you are. Whether you have short hair, long hair, braids, or dreads, or rocking your natural, keep being confident of the hair God has blessed you with. You don’t have to settle for anything but God’s best for your life. You don’t have to get caught up in the drama of girls or even be the mean girl. The world needs to see the softer side of you. Because you don't have to be strong all the time. Never give up on your dreams. Never forget that you are our ancestors' wildest dreams. Always take advantage of the positive opportunities that are presented to you. You are standing on the shoulders of your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who have sacrificed so much for you to be where you are. You don’t have to change who you are to fit in with the climate of the culture. 


Brown Girl, you are capable, you are smart, you are beautiful, you are loved, you are well prepared. So, don’t be afraid to be inquisitive and ask if you don’t know or understand. Don’t be afraid of being gifted. Don't doubt who you are becoming. Don’t be afraid of taking the honors classes. Don’t be afraid to sit in the front of the class. Don’t be afraid to run for office within your class or student government association. Don’t be afraid to live a life that you love. Don’t be afraid of failing because it teaches you tenacity. Don’t forget to say please and thank you. Don’t forget you are that girl. Don’t forget to shine bright like the diamond you are. Don’t ever forget that with God all things are possible. Don’t forget that God has great plans for your life. Don’t forget that your voice matters and your ideas matter too. Don’t ever forget that you are loved.

​Girl, wake up! It’s Friday and we made it through another week. Listen, stop sitting with people who tolerate you. Sit with people who appreciate who you are as a woman and what you bring to the table. Stop sitting with people who smile in your face and whisper behind your back. Stop sitting with people who say go girl to your face and say it’s not going to work behind your back.

Sis, go where you are loved, appreciated, celebrated, encouraged, and so much more. I do still believe there are good women in this world that want to see you win. I still believe we are better together. I do still believe that there are women who love where you are and are excited about where you are going. I do still believe that there are women who cry with you, pray with you, laugh with you, and sit with you. Every woman is not in competition with you. Sis, it’s time to check where you are sitting or even where you have been seated. Never sit where you are not free to be yourself. Sis, check your table and your circle.
