Monday Morning Indpiration

Happy Monday! I pray that your day is off to a great start. Today, sis, take a moment to check in on your friends. The ones who have been going non-stop. The ones who always show up for you. The ones who keep saying they are exhausted. The ones who have called crying and wanting to give up. It’s getting close to the holiday season. Some of us show up for Thanksgiving dinner wondering if anyone sees us. Some of us avoid family during the holidays, so they will not have to answer questions that should not be asked anyway. Someone has filled their schedule with stuff, so they will not have to feel or deal with the grief. Someone will spend this holiday alone. Someone just finalized a divorce and trying to navigate this season. 

​Sis, take time to check on your friends. Don’t allow them to navigate this season alone. Be there for them like they have been for you. Show up for them as they show for you. Listen to them as they listen to you. Sis, don’t allow them to give up too soon. Be the hand to hold, the ear to listen, and the shoulder to cry on. Be the friend you would want others to be for you.
