Monday Morning Inspiration

Hey, girl, hey! It’s the start of a new week. What are you holding in your heart? Who has offended you or who have you offended? Are you still holding onto what occurred years, months, days, hours, minutes, or even seconds ago? Do you know how much energy it takes for you to hold those things in your heart? Sis, it’s not worth it. It’s not worth the repetition of your side of the story to receive sympathy. It’s not worth being the victim in every situation. I need you to let it go. Some of us still don’t speak or even deal with individuals over what happened years ago. Do you realize the next second is not promised? In the world we live in, age is nothing but a number. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old when it’s your time to close your eyes it will happen. I know that I don’t want to leave this world with anger and bitterness in my heart. 

​I encourage you to pick up the phone, apologize, and keep going. Time is filled with swift transitions. None of us have time to hold onto things that cause us to be divided. We are better together. So, the next time they come to you with their side, know that there are three sides to the story. Your side, their side, and the truth. Don't allow a one-sided story cause you to treat and mishandle others. Sis, allow God to make you better.  Be a better woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and so much more.
