Celebrating Women’s History Month

​Happy Friday! I pray that your day is off to a great start. As many of you know, it's Women's History Month. Today, we pause to celebrate our stories and the stories of the women who raised us and mentored us to be the amazing women we are today.

As little girls, we had excellent women we admired living their lives out loud in front of us, whether in our homes, churches, or schools. They have prayed for us, loved us, encouraged us, clapped for us, showed up for us, supported us, and reminded us that we can do anything. They told us we were our ancestors' wildest dreams. They reminded us that we were phenomenal women. They modeled for us what it means to use our voice in the face of adversity. 

We listened to their stories. We listened to the struggles. We held their hands as they aged. We supported them. We saw their tears and saw their resilience in the hardest times of their lives. We watched them see loved ones lowered into the ground. We watch them cook and clean for those who didn't even honor and appreciate their work. We watched them experience heartbreak, but refused to stay broken. We were inspired to do better because of them. We were encouraged to excel beyond what they did because they pushed us toward greatness. 

Sis, you didn't get where you are today because of who you are. We were raised and encouraged by some amazing mothers, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, cousins, friends, Girl Scout leaders, Sunday School teachers, school teachers, college professors, church mothers, and so many other women who took time to pour into us. Now, it is our responsibility to pour into the next generation. It's our responsibility to remind a girl that she is capable of living the life she dreams of. Don't forget to pray, share encouragement, love without limits, and remind the next generation that their voice matters too. Our stories are filled with prayer, trusting God, faith, love, strength, laughter, tears, and tenacity. Don't be afraid to own your story, share your story, write your story, and live your story. Celebrating all of our stories as we continue to live out our dreams before the next generation! Reach back and love them. Always remember that you are loved! Until next time …..Lady T🩷
