Happy Monday! Have you ever had a favorite pen and it ran out of ink? You were disappointed because you thought the pen could not be replaced. You searched everywhere for a replacement pen. To your surprise, you actually found a replacement. So many times, we give up when the ink dries, because we think it’s the end of our story! My sister and my friend, the ink may have run out, but that’s not how your story will end. You just need to pick up another pen and turn the page of the new chapter. Yes! There is more to your story, more chapters, more pages and more seasons…Don’t ever think because the ink dried, it’s over! It’s not over until God says it’s over! Dear Mama,
I know that you trying to balance everything. I know you are trying to help everyone. I know you have been praying for everyone. I know there is homework to check, a house to clean, laundry to fold, grocery shopping to complete and dinner to prepare. I know you feel overwhelmed and you feel like you are constantly on the go. I know the kids are back in school and even sports have started again. Believe me, I understand it all. I know you need to just breathe. I know you are trying to give your husband attention, give your kids attention, but what about you? When was the last time you just stopped to breathe? When was the last time you slept in even with housework to complete? When was the last time you took care of yourself? In this season, it is my prayer that you would rest and put “You” first! I know that everyone is resting, but when will you rest? When will you close your eyes and not worry about what is next? I challenge you like I am challenging myself to make time for yourself this week. I challenge “You” to put “You” first for once. If you don’t take care of yourself, then no one else will. ​Happy Monday! Has life really been that hard where you have to frown most days? Is the weight of the world on your shoulders? There are days you walk around upset with the world. Your attitude and facial expressions say more than you know. Turn that frown upside down and smile. Your smile is encouraging not only to you, but others. Have you met someone who was upset all the time and it showed on their face? My sister and my friend, you don’t want to go through life being upset all the time. It creates wrinkles 😉 and unnecessary stress! It doesn’t cost you anything to smile! Don’t allow life prevent you from smiling. Happy Monday! As we prepare for the week, let us reflect on the virtuous woman. This Proverbs 31 woman had it going on, but what we overlook is that she had help. Proverbs 31:15, tells us that, “She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.” It’s okay to admit that we need help. Many times, including myself, have a superwoman mentality. However, sometimes the superwoman becomes weary; tired and needs a break. You are not less of a woman, if you ask for help. Don’t let others make you feel less than for asking for assistance. There is someone who is willing to help, if you just ask. Sis, don’t try to do it all! You don’t have to be superwoman and all things to everyone. Know when it’s time to ask for help. Always remember that you are loved! Enjoy your week! Until Wednesday……Lady T ​
