Happy Wednesday! It’s Self-Check Wednesday! How many times have you pointed the finger at someone else? How many times have you failed to take responsibility for your own actions? When will you take a look at you? My sister and friend, it’s time to deal with you in the mirror. The problem is not anyone else. It’s you! You were upset with everyone else and failed to check you. Sis, it’s you! You have been inpatient, moody, mean, unkind, rude and even dismissive at times.

It’s time to grow up and deal with the lady in the mirror. No longer do you have time to point out everyone’s flaws, mistakes and never look at you. No longer will you hurt others because you have issues that have not been healed. Take a deep breath and look in the mirror. The issue maybe you not wanting to accept your role in the situation. Girl, it’s time to be a big girl and deal with you. If it’s grace you are in need of, I pray that you receive it and extend it. If it’s forgiveness you are in need of, I pray that you would ask for it and extend it. I pray this week you would pause long enough to ask God to show you who you really are. I pray that when He shows you who you really are, you would do the work necessary to becoming your best self. Growth = maturity. Happy Friday! What has your spirit troubled? Why do you continue to walk around and live life defeated? My sister and my friend, I came to remind you that the Lord is your shield, your glory and the lifter of your head. When you feel like you are in it by yourself, God is your shield. When you have nothing to treasure, God will be your glory. When you feel there is no one to encourage you, God will be the lifter of your head. My friend, you will make it and you will get through this. Whatever it looks like, God is there with you. Don’t give up and don’t give in! God is walking it out with you through it all. Happy Wednesday! God has ways of reminding you to be grateful. Just when you think your situation is bad, HE allows you a glimpse of someone else situation. You pause long enough to realize that your situation is not as bad as it seems. Always be grateful!  Never forget that even on what you feel like is your worse day, you are blessed beyond measure. Never forget you have what you have because of God! Never forget God didn’t have to bless you that way HE did, but HE did. Because He did, you should wake up each morning with an attitude of gratitude. You may not have everything that you want, but be thankful your needs are met. Happy Monday! I came to remind you that God knows all about you. The greatest joy is knowing that He can see what we cannot. He will be there when others walk away. If God closed the door, don’t open that door again. It was closed for a reason. Yes, it hurt. Yes, it was what you thought you prayed for. Yes, you thought it was going to take you out. Yes, you cried after the door was closed. I know how it feels to think you are ready and think that the door is God’s will for your life, and it is not. Entering the door again could cost you something next time. Entering the door again could leave hurt, confused, and crushed. He knows what’s best, even when we don’t understand. Dry your tears and thank God because He saw what you didn’t see, and He is trying to protect you through dangers seen and unseen! Have an amazing day and always remember that you are loved. Happy Friday! Do you realize God knows all about us? He knows when pride shows up. He knows when we are faking it. He knows when the mask is on. He knows when we are hurting and heartbroken. He knows when we are truly happy and peaceful. God knows our motives, our desires and words before they are expressed. God created you and me. So, why do we continue to fool ourselves? We are the only ones showing up as an imposter and not the real women that we are. Girl, He knows all about us, but we need to be honest with ourselves. God knows what makes us afraid. God knows what makes us overthink. I encourage you and me today to remember that God knows all about us. It’s refreshing to know that even with our flaws and all, God still loves us. He still chooses to be there for us and walk-through life with us. I pray that we will remember while we are showing up for the world, God wants the world to see what He sees. Happy Monday! So many times, we live our lives for man’s approval. We post for likes. We talk loud for the attention of the crowd. It’s time to live according to God’s will and plans for your life. Man will celebrate you and talk negatively about you all in the same day. Seeking approval man will leave you wounded and hurt. Align your life with how God wants you to live. Align your thoughts with how God sees you. Your life matters and not opinions of how others see you. A life approved by God will bring peace and joy in your life. A life approved by God will allow you to walk with confidence. A life approved by God will allow you to be satisfied with how God sees you. Happy Friday! There are days when there is a war going on your mind. You begin to believe the thoughts in your mind. You begin the believe what others say about you. My sister and my friend do not dwell on the thoughts that do not direct us back to Christ. When the negative thoughts try to overtake you, replace those negative thoughts with what God says about you. For example, the next time you think that your life does not have purpose. Remember, Psalm 139:14, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Your negative thoughts and emotions will get you in trouble, if you start to believe what you tell yourself. Don’t beat yourself up! Girl, God’s word is filled with scriptures to refocus our thoughts. It can be so easy to believe the untold truths we tell ourselves and the whispers of the enemy. Write the scriptures down, commit the scriptures to memory, and recite the scriptures aloud. The next time negative thoughts try to overtake you, stand in the mirror, and recite the scriptures that you have hidden in your heart. Have an amazing weekend and always remember that you are loved!
