Happy Wednesday! As little girls, we had so many big dreams. Dreams of what our lives will look like. Dreams of what we would accomplish in life. Dreams of what our husbands would look like. Dreams of what our wedding day would look like. Dreams of the house we would own. Dreams of having a successful career by a certain age. But what if your dreams did not come to fruition? What if you stumbled along the way? What if do not like hand that life dealt you? What happens when pregnancy shows up? What happens if he promised to always be there and now you have to raise the kids alone? What happens when you love only to be hurt in return? What if you are delaying your dreams right now? What happens if you keep experiencing the same cycles in life?
 
Girlfriend, it is time to live out your dreams. Pick yourself up and keep moving. You can make it. I promise. I know what it feels like to dream big and wonder if your dreams will be fulfilled. Do not allow people, places or things deter you from making the life you want to live. Yes, it’s possible to start over. Yes, it’s possible to still dream. When You Look In The Mirror....
Happy Wednesday! When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see joy? Do you see beauty? Do you see success? Do you see peace? Do you see love? Or do you see hurt? Do you see brokenness? Do you see disappointment? Do you see resentment? Do you see a woman who is trying to hold it all together and crying inside? Do you see a woman who has more questions than answers? Do you see a woman who feels like she has to be strong for everyone? Do you see a woman who longs to be loved? Do you see a woman who just needs a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry? Do you see a woman who is there for everyone else and wonder is anyone there for her? Do you see pain from your present and your past? Do you see a woman who God wants to use mightily?
 
When you look into the mirror, you will see the resemblance of your mother and/or your father. When you look into the mirror, you will be reminded of your dreams and goals. When you look into the mirror, you will be reminded that your life has purpose. When you look in the mirror, you will realize that God has given you beauty for ashes. When you look into the mirror, you will realize every tear, every scar, every thought and every memory created you to be who you are today. It is my prayer that when you look into the mirror, you will see a woman who is fearfully and wonderfully made. You will see a woman who laughs at the future without fear. I know you think defeat is around the corner, but my sister and my friend, keep pushing and never look back. You have taken some noteworthy steps in your life. You have pushed through in moments of despair and disbelief. I want you to encourage yourself in the Lord as David did. Even if they were baby steps, you kept the faith and you kept pushing. Happy Friday! I wanted to encourage your hearts today that God is our refuge and strength. Most importantly HE will be there in times of trouble. Can you ever think of a time when God left you all alone? Can you ever think of time when HE didn’t pull you out? Can you ever think of a time when you counted on others to be there and they left you? My sister and my friend, the great peace we have is knowing that God is always there. God is strong enough to pull you through; God is shelter is time of danger and/or trouble and God is ever present. You don’t have to wonder if HE will be there. HE is dependable, accountable and consistent. I came to remind you that no matter what you are faced with today and the days ahead, please remember that God is always there! ​Dear God,
Please forgive me for not allowing you to order my steps. There were times you told me to go to right and I decided to go left. Please forgive for allowing fear to overtake me. There were times you told me to do, to say and to go. I was so fearful of how it would be received that I was disobedient to what you told me to do. I realized that delayed disobedience is still disobedience. Please forgive for the times I knew I was worthy to be loved and was afraid. I was so worried that I would be hurt like the last time that I was guarded and never really gave my heart, shared my wounds and allows myself to be vulnerable. Please forgive me for accepting the words that others called and labeled me. You never called me those names and I never should have answered or accepted those names. Those names were degrading and hurtful. I realize that I am worth more than that.

Please forgive me for doubting in my faith and not trusting you totally. My mouth said I believe, but my heart and faith said something different. I realized that you have blessed me and protected me before. Help me with my unbelief when those moments arise. Please forgive me for turning my back on you, when you have always been there with me and for me. There were times that I know I disappointed you, but you were always there with your arms wide open.

Please forgive me for withholding unforgiveness in my heart. There were times when I spoke the words you are forgiven to someone and still held unforgiveness in my heart. I realize the same grace that you extended to me, must be extended to others. Please forgive me for not loving myself like I should. There were times when I knew you loved me, but I did not love me and allowed others to be disrespectful to me. There are so many things that I could ask you for, but you already know what’s in my heart. Even when I withhold, God you already know.

Please forgive me for not forgiving myself. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but I was so hard on myself when I came up short. God allow me to be free from me. Allow me to walk in the fullness of joy and peace. Allow me to remember that there is no mistake, misstep and stumble that you would not guide me through. Thank you, Lord, for simply loving me.

​Happy Monday! I want you to be okay with not taking everyone to the next chapter of the story. They may have been there from the beginning, but now their season in your life has expired. Friends are there for a reason, season and lifetime. So many times, we give season and reason friends the title of permanent.  Be okay with knowing that some seasons you will walk with a crowd and some seasons you will face alone. Be okay with knowing that sometimes the crowd is noisy and walking alone you will be able to hear God clearer. Realize that everyone will not show up for the celebration and the crowd may shrink to one. It’s okay to have a celebration with a party one. Girl, God has equipped you with be everything you need for the best part of the journey! Don’t ever be afraid or upset when everyone else leaves, because God is with you!
