Celebrating Women….

Happy Wednesday! It’s time to celebrate women, especially today. Why? Because it’s International Women’s Day. Girl, it’s time to celebrate us!
We are wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, godmothers, bosses, entrepreneurs, writers, bloggers, musicians, pastors, ministers, First Ladies, educators, nurses, doctors, dentists, game changers, world shakers, and the list goes on. Girl, we can do anything we set our mind to. For that, I need you to take time to celebrate the woman that you are, the woman that you are becoming, and the women who have encouraged you along the journey.

Today, pause to encourage another woman to live out her dreams. Tell her that she can do anything. Remind her that her voice matters. Remind her that she matters. Remind her that her life has a purpose. Whether you are in the front or the background, all of our contributions matter. Our daughters are watching us. Our nieces are watching us. Our godchildren are watching us. We will show up as that woman. Will they be proud of the woman that we are today? Will our life speak for us while we are living and not at our funeral? What does our legacy look like for future generations?

Sis, we should be encouraged and inspired to live out our dreams. We are our ancestors' wildest dream. We are standing on their shoulders and their prayers. Don’t forget to reach back and help someone. Don’t forget to share your journey. Don’t forget that we have not arrived and are still striving daily to become the woman that God has called us to be. Let your sister friend know that you are so proud of her. That you see her, that you care, that you love her, and that you appreciate her. Sis, celebrate each other. Because we make so many contributions to this world we should be celebrated 365 days a year.
