Forgiveness.....

Happy Friday! We all have been down the path of extending forgiveness or in need of others forgiving us. I know the individual hurt you. I know the individual mistreated you. I know your feel justified in your actions of withholding forgiveness. I know you were upset when you said what you said. What happens when you offend others? What happens when you are in need of forgiveness? When you realize forgiveness is not for the other individual, but for you? When you realize that forgiveness does not make it okay for others to treat you the way they did, but extending forgiveness is the start of the healing process? I am not writing about anything that I have not had to experience myself. The scripture encourages us to be kind, tender hearted and forgiving one another as Christ has forgiven us. It doesn’t cost anything to be kind. It doesn’t cost us anything to be tenderhearted. It doesn’t cost us anything to extend forgiveness. I pray that we will realize that none of us are perfect. Just like we make mistakes, others will make mistakes too. I encourage you today to do the work necessary to move forward. If you need to extend forgiveness or in need of others forgiving you, I pray that you would begin the work to move forward. The next hour, minute or second is not promised. My sister, I know it may be easier said than done, but forgiveness is necessary for growth in the journey of life! Have an amazing weekend and always remember that you are loved!
