Hold On Mama...
I know this season of life has been hectic. I know there are days you feel like you cannot keep up. There are days when you feel like crying because you are overwhelmed. For new mamas, you are tired and sleepy most days. Your days and nights are confused. You do not know if you are coming or going. For toddler mamas, you thought this season would be easy. However, it has proven to be a challenge. The kids just will not listen. You are too embarrassed to go in public for fear of being judged by another mama. For mamas with school aged kids, we had to decide whether to allow our kids to learn virtually or send them back to the classroom. It is your decision, don’t allow others make you feel like a horrible mama because of your decision. It is your household and not their household. For mamas with college freshman, you had to drop your kids off at the dormitory and deal with the house being quiet. You pray that as they enter adult life, they would remember the important life lessons you instilled in them. You are struggling with juggling it all. Most days you wake up tired and crawl into bed at night tired. You are the first one up in the morning and the last one to go to bed. You try to make sure your husband is taken care of; the kids are taken care of and the household is presentable and clean. You feel like you are failing yourself and everyone around you. If you receive one more phone call, you do not know what you are going to do. It seems like when you sit down to relax and breathe, someone else is calling your name or asking you to do something. Mama, hold on and don’t give up! It’s only a season! There are seasons where we are smiling, riding the waves and life is good. Then, there are seasons where is there is more crying than happiness. Mama, I know that it is all overwhelming. Mama, I know you are wondering when will this season end. Mama, I know what it feels like when you feel like you are failing as a mother. Mama, I know that you take care of everybody and everything. Mama, I know you have placed yourself last. Today, I pray that you would hold on because this is just a season. Seasons do not stay the same forever. Seasons do change! I pray that you would breathe and realize that you are only one person. I pray that you would not be ashamed to ask for help. I pray that you would take care of yourself like you take care of others. I pray that you would realize and know that you are a great and awesome MAMA. Your family believes it and you should too. You will get through this season! Be encouraged and always remember that you are one amazing mama! Have an amazing day and always remember that you are loved! Lady T
