Wednesday’s Life Lesson

Happy Wednesday! I pray that your day is off to a great start. Today, the word is love. Yes, we know the world recognizes today as Valentine’s Day. But sis, love is more than just one day. Love is having hard conversations. Love is honesty. Love is growing and being better. Love is vulnerability. Love is caring. Love is being there in the hard times. Love is simply holding a hand and showing support. Love is showing up when everyone else walks away. Love is opening your heart to give love and receive love. Love is trusting. Love is kind. Love is patent. Love is all of that is so much more. 

When I think of love, I think of two scriptures. The first scripture is, I Corinthians 13:4-8; “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; Love never fails…” The second scripture is, I Corinthians 13:13, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

These two scriptures should remind me and you of the real meaning of love. Sis, love without limits. Sis, if you have been hurt by people before, I hope that you will give love a try one more time. I know that God can heal your heart. God will send you what you need. Sis, it’s possible to love again. I pray that as the world celebrates love today, you will experience the love of God every day your eyes open. I pray that the love you give will be the love that will be reciprocated back to you. Sis, don’t give up on love, because God didn’t give up on you at the cross. The cross was the ultimate sacrifice of love. Be simple amazing today and always remember that you are loved!
